In June 2012 I led a group reading of TS Eliot’s The Waste Land.
The Festival of Transition, organised in part by the New Economics Foundation, asked Curiocity to lead a guided walk on the theme of ‘transition’. We devised a walking reading of TS Eliot’s The Waste Land through East London, taking waste and cyclical regeneration as our guiding themes. From East London Cemetery we walked along the Northern Outfall Sewer to the Olympic Stadium, down the River Lea to Trinity Buoy Wharf and the Millennium Dome, and then walked through docklands developments between Canary Wharf and London Bridge.
I wrote up the walk for the Guardian newspaper.
